“I’m excited about the opportunity to share what our new Credit Union has to offer the Okanagan,” Tony says. “Members can now access a Small Business Advisor from the Lower Mainland to the Okanagan and up to Fort St. John.  We have a chance to shine a light on each region’s unique and diverse business landscape.”

Unlike larger financial institutions, Beem Credit Union’s approach to business lending is deeply personal. The team takes the time to understand each member’s story — their goals, challenges, and vision — and relay that insight to adjudicators who make credit decisions.

“We really get to know our prospects and members,” Tony explains. “That relationship and narrative can go a long way in a credit decision.”

“I love the family legacy piece — farmers and vintners who are two or more generations in,” he says. “And on the other end of the spectrum, I love working with newcomers to the community who bring the heart and soul of their roots to their businesses.”
